Comet Pictures was an American animation studio that is based in Los Angeles, California and a division of Gladusaurus Productions. The studio's first feature film, Popularity, was released on July 2, 1993.

History Edit

In 1991, film producer Catherine Fisher, was fascinated with the concept of feature films. Thus, she announced that her new company, Comet Pictures will be opening shop in June. Soon after, Michael Gladusaur announced that the new Comet Pictures will be a division of Gladusaurus Productions.

In 2018, after being dormant for eight years, the division, along with the Boston, Shanghai, and Los Angeles studios of Gladusaurus Productions, were bought out by Clearwater Partners II LLC. The company, with Gladusaurus Los Angeles, was merged into Clearwater Animation Los Angeles and the Comet Pictures label will be used for one time only for their last film, that is yet to be announced.
